How Healthy Coronation Chicken Mary Berry Is

Coronation chicken is a dish that is often served at special occasions and celebrations. It is usually made with chicken that has been cooked in a curry sauce and then shredded. The dish is then garnished with diced fruit, nuts, and often served with a side of rice.

While coronation chicken is typically considered to be a healthy dish, there are some variations that can be made that are not as healthy. For example, some recipes call for the chicken to be fried before it is added to the curry sauce. This can add unnecessary calories and fat to the dish.

Another way to make coronation chicken healthier is to use skinless, boneless chicken breasts. This will reduce the amount of fat and calories in the dish. In addition, using a low-fat yogurt or coconut milk in place of the mayonnaise will also help to reduce the fat and calories.

Finally, coronation chicken is often garnished with unhealthy ingredients such as raisins, sugary fruits, and processed nuts. While these ingredients may add flavor and texture to the dish, they are not necessarily healthy. To make coronation chicken healthier, try garnishing it with fresh fruits and vegetables instead. This will add fiber, vitamins, and minerals to the dish without adding any extra calories.
